Two different traditions in one day - Western and Asian

On Sunday, 6/18 we went with the whole family to Fort Worth - To the Stock yards and to the Japanese Garden

The contrast could not have been more drastic. First we went to the Stock Yards in Fort Worth, to get a glimpse of old western Cowboy tradition. There were Cowboys riding on horses (and on longhorns), a lot of country music and even a cattle drive through the middle of the stockyards. For everone interested in wild wild west, this is the place to go. Jeremy almost lost his hat, and we had to go back were we were watching the cattle drive. He left it on a fence post. So you guys back in Europe, we definitely recommend to visit this place.

Just a few miles down the road was the Botanic Garden. They have an excellent area named the Japanese Garden there. It is very beautiful, calming and relaxing. Fishes are swimming in the ponds, everything is surrounded by bamboos. It is amazing how tall those bamboos are, I have never seen them for real. We made lots of pictures, once Angie has downloaded them on her computer I will post them here.
